Becoming a member of SSHM is a two-step process: first, register your details, and second, purchase your membership. Please note that you must complete both steps in order to be confirmed as a member.
Step 1: Register your name, details, and contact information using the registration form below.
The Society is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We will only use your personal data to contact you and to help carry out activities relating to the Society’s aims. We will not share your data with advertisers. By registering to join the Society below, you will also be opting in to receive occasional electronic messages on our mailing list. You can subscribe to our mailing list here (you are welcome to unsubscribe at any point).
Step 2: Purchase your membership.
Payment is collected by Oxford University Press (OUP), the publisher of our Society’s journal. A subscription is required for members – please select whether you would prefer to receive the journal in print or online only at a discount, and for either one or two years. Please also select the membership category that best matches your career status and geographic location. Once you have submitted your payment on the OUP website and received a customer/membership number then, your SSHM registration will be complete.
