David Cantor is an investigador (researcher) at the Instituto de Desarrollo Económico y Social (IDES), Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a former acting-director of the Office of History at the National Institutes of Health. His publications include Reinventing Hippocrates (2002); Cancer in the Twentieth Century (2008); Meat, Medicine and Human Health in the Twentieth Century (2010), with Christian Bonah and Matthias Dörries; Stress, Shock, and Adaptation in the Twentieth Century (2014), with Edmund Ramsden; Health Education Films in the Twentieth Century (2018), with Christian Bonah and Anja Laukötter, and Cancer, Research, and Educational Film at Midcentury: The Making of the Movie Challenge: Science Against Cancer (1950) (2022). He co-edits the book series Social Histories of Medicine.
